    THE SPIRIT OF THE LAW.
    TO THE LETTER.

At Bryant, Lovlien & Jarvis, we know that our success depends on superior client service. That is why we work hard to ensure that you receive professional, personal, and responsive legal representation at a fair price.

We also understand that your satisfaction depends on your relationship with the people who represent you. Our goal is to meet your legal needs in a timely manner and to make sure that billing practices and costs meet your expectations.

To that end, we invite you to review the billing process we use to serve our clients:

INITIAL CONFERENCE: Your first meeting will be with one of our attorneys who will want to learn more about your situation and discuss the scope and amount of services that will need to be provided. We encourage you to ask questions during this conference, not only about your case but also about billing and fees. Many of the services related to the case are carried out behind the scenes - research, filings, negotiations with opposing counsel - so be sure to cover all the aspects of your case. Above all, we want you to be comfortable with your relationship with us.

RETAINERS: Unless other arrangements are made during the first meeting, most clients will pay the firm a retainer at the beginning of work. This retainer helps offset out-of-pocket costs and fees. Upon completion of the work, any remaining balance is refunded directly to you.

BILLING STATEMENTS: While work is being performed on your behalf, you will receive monthly billing statements. We can provide you with as much or as little detail as you wish about our services. If you would prefer more or less detail, please discuss these preferences with your primary attorney. All invoices are payable in full upon receipt.

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS: Questions about your legal matter or your account should be directed to your primary attorney. By selecting Bryant, Lovlien & Jarvis to represent your interests, you give the firm the power to execute all complaints, claims, verifications, dismissals, orders and other actions on your behalf. Be assured, however, that settlements affecting your interests will occur only with your consent.

IF YOU HAVE A CONCERN OR QUESTION: Bryant, Lovlien & Jarvis recognizes that any situation involving legal counsel is an investment of your valuable time and resources. We pledge to provide you with quality counsel and service. If at any time during our relationship you have a question or concern, we encourage you to contact your primary attorney and seek a resolution to your concern.
